Worst signing in free agency NFL Twitter expresses its disappointment with JuJu Smith-Schu

The NFL free agency has turned this week into a wild one as teams are actively making roster moves to build a team that can contend for the Super Bowl in near future. In that trend, Bill Belichick has added a key wide receiver to his team since the Patriots have agreed to terms on a new contract with the former Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

After a successful one-year stint with the Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs, the former Pro Bowl wideout is heading to New England to continue his legacy. The Patriots signed JuJu Smith-Schuster to a 3-year deal worth $33 million per multiple reports. JuJu, who has been playing in the league for six years is excited about playing for the renowned head coach Bill Belichick.

“Excited for my next chapter in New England! I will give this organization everything I have,” Smith-Schuster tweeted after signing with the New England-based football team. “Thank you for believing in me!”

JuJu is signed to be the replacement of the former Pats receiver Jakobi Meyers, who recently signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on a similar kind of deal. Meyers signed a 3-year $33 million contract with the Raiders.

Fans on social media had mixed reactions to Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots signing the former Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to a 3-year deal. The Patriots have been searching for a true No.1 receiver for a long and now they might have found their guy.

Besides, the Pats also just lost tight end Jonnu Smith and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. So, adding an elite pass catcher was a must for the Patriots and Bill Belichick just took care of that problem.

That is the worst signing in free agency.

Don't think anyone cares honestly. JuJu isn't that guy. Without a stud taking the doubles so he can be open.

ain't no way. idk how to feel about this bro. please tell me we're still getting D Hop or a WR1 like Jeudy or draft one

Now they can still look for another wide receiver in the upcoming NFL Draft. The Patriots are currently holding the 14th overall pick in the first round and they might look at some of the best college receivers like Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Quentin Johnston.

Tik tok boy really went from a team that made relevant to a team that’s gonna make him irrelevant now all that smack talking gonna stop now 😹😹

Omg this is big for them coming from a broncos fan

Bro this is the worst thing that could have happened. Dude just made like one catch per game and minus one TD. Please give him back wherever he came from and ask for a refund @TeamJuJu

Out of all the WR we could’ve gotten. We get him. 🤦🏽‍♂️

— CEE_TUM (@cee_tum) March 15, 2023

But it might not be their priority position anymore since the Patriots also have a dire need at defensive line and defensive back positions. So they might use their first-round pick to address that need.

He hasn't been any good since AB left Pittsburgh

Jacobi was better imo for same price

This is such a Patriots move lol. They're never gonna get a true number 1

Anyways, the Patriots just got themselves a stud wide receiver who caught 78 passes for 933 yards and 3 touchdowns last season and played a vital role in the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl.
